To create coveted items that are to be treasured for years to come. As a female owned small business who cares about our impact on the planet as much as we care about the upliftment of our community. We are eco-conscious and have made every intention to be as sustainable and ethical as possible by aligning with suppliers and other businesses (throughout all orders of operation) who carry the same eco-mission and level of care as us. We believe in empowering our customer and community through sustainable creation and supply.
CARBON OFFSETTING & CARBON NEUTRAL DELIVERY
Carbon neutral shipping is now a complimentary added benefit of our partnership with Route Package Protection. Each order directly supports an agroforestry initiative that removes CO₂ from the air and promotes a flourishing ecosystem. You can neutralise your shipping emissions and carbon footprint when you add "Green Package Protection" at checkout. By simply adding Green Package Protection - you’re automatically taking instant climate action – no donation required, and St Soleil will take care of the rest!
"Beginning with this project, we've committed to neutralising 100,000 tonnes of carbon. That's equivalent to planting and protecting 1.65M trees. We want to lead the charge toward a net-zero emissions ecommerce experience by equipping Merchants with the tools they need and encouraging customers to offset their carbon footprints" - Route

SUSTAINABILITY & FAIR TRADE
We love our planet, and aim to respect it and tread as lightly as possible for the love of future generations to come. We recycle, reuse and reduce wherever possible. Here are the ways ST SOLEIL is consciously contributing, caring and giving back:
I. Carbon Neutral Shipping: every order can now be carbon offset at the checkout!
II. Packaging: Our packaging is now 100% recyclable and most is even biodegradable! Our Thank You & Care Cards are printed on paper made from recycled coffee cups and our clear jewellery bags that may look like plastic on first glance are actually are made from recycled materials and are biodegradable.
We also wanted to change the way jewellery is purchased and stored. Instead of individual boxes for every item, which requires more tree's and paper to be produced, we have created a custom jewellery box to house multiple items in individual biodegradable bags! We love to keep our products eco friendly, so our paper glassine jewellery bags are 100% recyclable, biodegradable, plastic free and produced with translucent pH7.
Here's a list of what you can recycle and reuse:
|Biodegradable||Our Clear Jewellery Bags, Thank you cards, Care cards, Shipping Boxes, Eco-Friendly Protective Paper Wrapping, Eco-Cotton Product Bags, Fragile packing tape (180 days biodegradable)|
|Recyclable||Thank you cards, Care cards, Shipping Boxes, Shipping Labels, Jewellery Boxes|
| Reusable Items

III. Regional Manufacturing: Our production is based in similar regional locations to one another, decreasing our shipping and therefore, our carbon footprint. Our Air Shipments are carbon offset, and ship via slow Ocean Freight where possible.
IV. Regional Distribution: We're launching new mini St Soleil hubs to reduce carbon footprint, carbon emissions and unnecessary logistics. We have set up our main space in California, one in Sydney, Australia. We are busy preparing to open two new spaces in the UK/EU; one in London, UK and one in Poland. We hope by connecting our customers and community to local St Soleil spaces we can all benefit from reduced shipping costs, and additional carbon emissions from shipping across the globe.
V. Certified Sustainable Paper: All paper and card stock we use is created with certified sustainable paper products that are FSC Approved, meaning no natural tree areas are cut down to produce our products. Vegetable based inks are used in our offset printing.
VI. Fair Trade: Product manufacturing is certified Fair Trade Labour
JEWELLERY SUSTAINABILITY & COMMUNITY
Recycled Gold & Silver:
We use 100% recycled sterling silver and gold. It’s the same quality as freshly mined metals, but we avoid unnecessary mining.
This piece is true gold vermeil. It has recycled 925 silver at its core and is plated in a thick layer of gold measuring 2.5-3.0 microns. This is 5 times thicker and longer-lasting than regular "gold-plated" jewellery, and 100 times thicker than flash-plated jewellery. We use 14k gold for its soft, elegant hue.
Stainless Steel is fully recyclable and considered eco-friendly as no harmful chemicals are released during its production, unlike other metal alloys.
Crystals & Stones:
We use only ethically sourced, hand-cut gemstones, semi-precious stones and crystals. Beautiful and responsible!
ST SOLEIL MARKETPLACE: 'LOVE & RE-LOVED' CLOSED LOOP INITIATIVE
'St Soleil Marketplace' is our new Closed-Loop, Love & Re-Loved Initiative. Earlier in 2022 we set a goal to give new life to Pre-Loved and Seconds Stock items, and to prioritise a vision of a more sustainable future. We believe a beautiful aspect of St Soleil, other than creating timeless pieces intended to be treasured for many moons to come, will be our commitment to a more sustainable, loving future. Intentionally re-sharing loved items that can now be cherished by someone new in our community or returning used jewellery items that can be melted down and up-cycled into new St Soleil jewellery pieces.
The main intention of this initiative is to 'close the loop' of buying and discarding. In return, we want to support the circulation of our paper-based cards and books, ritual items and jewellery metals so they never end up in landfill or turned into waste where they can be harmful to the environment. After we've re-collected a St Soleil item our next order of operations is to circulate, recycle and reuse each piece appropriately.
