March Astrology Key Dates

Your Guide to the upcoming Astrological dates this month

Featuring; New Moon in Pisces, Full Moon in Virgo and we welcome in Aries

St Soleil is excited to be reigniting our love of cosmic connection, bringing you a soft conversation each month about what the stars may have aligned for you.

If the concepts resonate, delve a little more into it; if our words bounce back and sound mysterious, let them go (we promise we won’t take it personally).

Our monthly overview this month is inspired by exceptional sky-readers, such as Cosmic Collage, Body and Soul Sustenance and Cafe Astrology.

☾ March 2, 2022: New Moon in Pisces

“A time to observe, feel, and process. We may pay special attention to our dreams, both of the night and day variety, and the subtle areas of our lives. Focusing on creativity, philanthropy, spirituality, and artistry can be beneficial. Build your intuition, slow down and rest. Consider your personal boundaries & how that has kept you from connecting with others on a more meaningful level.”

The last of the zodiac signs, Pisces and its watery element are a magickal symbol for flow, surrender, release and expansion. Expansion this month may represent an internal growth, but also the removal of barriers for self and for community. Pisces is altruistic, inviting you to swim towards your community and extend a helping hand.

Beware, gentle soul. If you read our February Journal entry, filling your own cup first is the key to offering the most beautiful qualities of your heart to others.

Whilst water will dominate this sign, we suggest containing the potential overflow of your river with grounding practices, connection to nature and a sense of deep presence. You are enough.

☾ March 18, 2022: Full Moon in Virgo

Getting organised, feeling more energetic and committed to your priorities. Virgo Full Moon invites in the entire process that leads to self-realization and ultimately to the complete fusion of personality and soul.

There she is: Mother Virgo, the structured planner inviting us into commitment, rooting our feet deep in reverence for Mamma Earth. Virgo and its ruling planet Mercury, is connected to reason, rational thinking, and methodical harvesting of your intelligence.

The Full Moon in March corresponds to the welcoming of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, walking towards lighter days and unfurling the petals of winter’s introspective projects (Ostara, or the Spring Equinox); in the Southern Hemisphere, we walk towards Mabon, or the Fall Equinox which brings balance to the heat and instability of this Summer (more on this below).

Often depicted as a woman carrying the late summer wheat she harvested, Virgo or the Virgin may bring to you visuals of a blank canvas, the opportunity to create in pure freedom.

☾ March 21, 2022: Welcoming in Aries Season

Brings the promise of extra energy, a strong taste for newness, for change, and probably a little rebellion against the establishment, as well, along with a universal desire for freedom in our actions, our speech, our opinions. For many, this could be a golden opportunity for changing gears and announcing loud and clear what they want.

The Equinox season is a witches’ favourite celebration time, gathering crystals, stones, creating alters and giving thanks to cosmic support.

At St Soleil, rituals are embodied and embraced in our creations. Here is a little overview, and for more in-depth guidance you may feel called to check out our magickal Celestial Journal here.

  • In the Northern Hemisphere, around the 21st of March: Ostara or the Spring Equinox births us into the luminous quality of new life. Invite play, marvel, child-like qualities to your life, and amuse yourself to discover things for the first time.
  • In the Southern Hemisphere, on the other end: Mabon or the Autumn Equinox follows through from Virgo’s full moon, bringing in the energy of the Earth through our roots, and calling in our time to reap what we have sown. Beat to the drum of your own heart in gratitude for the rhythm of You.
