May 28, 2023: Pentecost and the descent of Spirit

A Christian celebration honouring the gift of the Holy Spirit, when tongues of fire descended upon Jesus’ followers. According to Britannica: 50 Days after Easter, "the first Pentecost is the day when a small band of Jesus' followers spontaneously began speaking in various foreign languages.. It's important to note that these diverse languages were unknown to the apostles, making the event supernatural. What's more, the Book of Acts describes a "violent wind" preceding the events and "tongues of fire" that came to rest on each of the disciples" and a similar legend pertains the Jewish beliefs.
